Bubble Stocks

September 2, 2026 · KO is the only LPPL bubble that is also turning down

LPPL is a regime filter, not a crash timer. It asks whether price looks super-exponential with log-periodic oscillation, then the checkboxes veto: liquidity, valuation/extension, and trend/break. A name is not a trade because it fitted. Critical time tc is a process window, not an execution stamp.

Fail-closed QC: most liquid names do not qualify. A quiet tape is the usual state. Today 1 of 50 mega-caps cleared a positive-bubble gate.

Largest bubbles

Ranked by confidence × acceleration × oscillation QC. Positive bubble only.

Stocks turning down

Positive-bubble names whose structure has broken, or which are already down 2% or more over five sessions. LPPL late, tape rolling — still not a standalone short.

Washouts

Negative-bubble / capitulation candidates. Inverse of the melt-up filter.

None cleared the gate on this pass. That is a null, not a weak list.

How to read the filters

LPPL + confidence — shrinking-window Filimonov–Sornette fit. Bounds on m, ω, oscillation count and damping. Below the confidence floor there is no regime.

Liquidity — tradability gate. Illiquid acceleration is not a bubble you can fade.

Valuation / extension — statistical stretch versus the 200-day MA in ATR units, not a DCF.

Trend / break — confirmed swing break. This is the execution checkbox. Without it, LPPL is a watchlist flag.

Positioning — off until short-interest / COT coverage exists. Missing data fails closed or stays unchecked.
