Qatar will assess LNG supply logistics while Hormuz clearance operations proceed. Regional investors will track oil price reactions to any Hormuz traffic updates and potential signals from sovereign fund portfolio reviews in Saudi Arabia. Refinery utilisation across the GCC averaged 88% last week, supported by strong Asian demand.

Other Economic Notes

Saudi Arabia and the UAE continue expanding bio-economy initiatives in genomics, biofuels and diagnostics to diversify beyond hydrocarbons. Riyadh Digital District aims to attract global tech talent and support Vision 2030 non-oil growth targets. US sanctions pressure on Iran intensified, further straining Tehran’s economy and reducing Hormuz oil flows.
