S&P maintained Indonesia’s credit ratings, saying fiscal strains should be temporary. India and Indonesia advanced de-dollarisation with a rupee-rupiah local currency settlement framework. The Bank of Thailand monitors Middle East tension as the baht drops 5-6% year-to-date and is too early to assess full impact.
Thailand’s oldest bank turns to virtual banking for growth. ASEAN 2H26 outlook flags unattractive broader indices, favouring Singapore and Malaysia instead. Elevated Brent crude at 85.52 supports Indonesia’s trade balance but adds to Thailand’s import bill.

State Bank of Vietnam has room to stay accommodative as FDI inflows remain robust, though it watches regional rate differentials closely.
Policy divergence persists, with BI most attentive to FX intervention while MAS relies solely on NEER adjustments.
